As a not-for-profit charitable organization, YES enriches the community by providing English-language support services to help Quebecers find employment and start businesses. YES is a one-stop, English language job search, entrepreneurship and artist service provider in Quebec, providing support to over 3600 Quebecers annually. Your participation in this event will help us provide the career counselling, workshops and research resources that will help a YES client become economically self-sufficient and remain in Quebec. YES makes the difference between failure and success. Not only does the client win, but with your contribution, you are actively participating in strengthening the economy in which you live. ABOUT YES' PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES
JOB SEARCH PROGRAM: YES’ professional employment counsellors facilitate over 4500 individual counselling sessions and 260 workshops, boasting an impressive 86% success rate this past year.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM: YES’ Entrepreneurship Program offers business owners at all stages of development, day and evening workshops, mentoring, business coaching, legal and accounting clinics, networking events and an annual conference. Over 1400 entrepreneurs attended our workshops and over 1000 met with our coaches last year alone.
ARTIST PROGRAM: YES’ Artists’ Program offers workshops designed to help artists of all disciplines develop the skills and strategies to turn their artistic passion into an economically viable profession. Last year, over 500 local artists participated in our workshops, and our dedicated artist's coach conducted over 330 one-on-one sessions with artists.
In this past year alone, YES hosted seven conferences and events including the first ever YES Arts Expo, the 13th Annual Entrepreneurship Conference and the 10th Annual Artists' Conference. YES started in 1995 as a vehicle to stem the flow of young people from Quebec and in the past fifteen years, has helped over 35,000 Quebecers through its various programs. The number of clients served annually has increased from 120 in 1996-1997, to over 3,600 in 2008-2009, while client visits have increased to over 12,000 per year. YES is heralded for its professionalism, long-standing record of measurable success and the exceptional service it provides the community almost entirely free of charge.

Lorraine Klaasen, the eclectic and exuberant South African singer headlined the premier of TUNE IN TO YES, a fundraising event in support of YES Montreal, held on May 29, 2007 at the Corona Theatre. Hosted by Andy Nulman – co-founder of the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, and President and CMO of Airborne Mobile – this evening of musical and comedic variety which also included a silent auction, door prizes and many other surprises throughout the night, catered to a broad audience. Klaasen, and other Montreal-based performers, donated their time to raise funds for YES Montreal, making the event an overwhelming success.

TUNE IN TO YES2 was highlighted by the triumphant return of the internationally renowned South African singer, Lorraine Klaasen. The event took place on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Club Soda to an audience of over 400 attendees. Klaasen dazzled the audience with her electrifying performance of selections from her new recording Africa Calling, a record full of infectious grooves and melodies. Along with Klaasen, Montreal’s R&B Sensation SueSoul showcased their talents raising awareness and funds for YES Montreal, surpassing our expectations once again.

TUNE IN TO YES3 raised an unprecedented $60,000 to support the programs and services of YES. The event was held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Corona Theatre and was co-hosted by Lorraine Klaasen and Andrew Carter, of Montreal's #1 Morning Radio Show on CJAD. With the theme "Tap In To The Rythms of Montreal!" the concert featured the local talents of: Jab Jab, Yoel Diaz, Oscar Fuentes, and the Stephen Barry Band. By the end of the evening, Klaasen joined the musicians on stage for a fantastic jam session that kept everyone on their feet and dancing.

TUNE IN TO YES4: Paint the Town African Creole was a record breaking event, with the highest turnout ever and raising over $66,000! Held Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Club Soda, the event featured Lorraine Klaasen, the Ekspresyon dance troupe, Ginetta Vendetta, Soweto Groove and a special appearance by Sue Soul. Andrew Carter, of Montreal's #1 Morning Radio Show on CJAD hosted the evening's festivities. Attendees were treated to delectable delicacies including the chocolate & coffee bar on the upstairs level. Once again, our expectations were surpassed and YES Montreal benefited from increased awareness and funding to help Quebec's youth accomplish their artistic & business goals.
